Van Kilmor is the exception that proves the rule with significant genes on his sire’s side and a totally unknown maternal lineage. Nonetheless, he is a very gifted sport horse that spent part of his show jumping career ridden by Michel Robert and Clement Frerejacques (1.45 classes) before joining Team WOW and being ridden by Lorenzo Bertolucci. This pair made its debut in mid-February 2019 at the CSI in Jerez de la Frontera with two clear rounds in 1.30 and 1.35m classes! See VAN KILMOR’s results here:
Van Kilmor's sire
Van Kilmor’s sire is the KWPN stallion Valentino, approved Hanover and standing at stud at Landgestuet Celle. Valentino competed in classes up to 1.40m and his offspring already includes four top showjumpers Van Helsing, Vitiki, Vittorio 8 and Vermont 2, all competing in 1.60m classes.
It is interesting that his damsire belongs to the progeny of the Holsteiner Cor de la Bryere, the influential progenitor of the Holsteiner breed.
