Tachina de Beaufour and Lorenzo Bertolucci at Piazza di Siena in 2017

Tachina de Beaufour is Team WOW’s top mare. It is with her that young rider Lorenzo Bartolucci is embarking on his sports career. They began their show jumping adventure together in 2017 starting with 1.20m classes. In 2017 they successfully competed in various shows including international ones. Their participation in the ‘Coppa dei Giovani’ at Piazza di Siena was absolutely remarkable and they finished third in the Grand Prix. In 2018 the pair started to compete in 1.40m classes. In 2016, before joining Team WOW, Tachina had already jumped successfully in 1.45m classes with the French rider Julien Gonin.

    Tachina De Beaufour’s sire

Tachina de Beaufour has a first-class pedigree having been sired by the progenitorKannan,a stallion ranked by the WBFSH as one of the top 10 best stallions in the world since 2010 (1st in 2014, 2nd in 2015). Three of his offspring excelled in the final rounds of the Rio Olympic Games and also includes horses such as Nino des Buissonets, Olympic Champion in London in 2012 ridden by Steve Guerdat, Molly Malone (Bertram Allen) and Quabri de l’Isle (Pedro Veniss).

    Tachina De Beaufour's dam

Tachina’s dam is also a top horse, sired by Diamant de Semilly, World Team Champion in Jerez de la Frontera in 2002 and a stallion that has led the WBFSH rankings on more than one occasion. His progeny includes Quicky de Kreisker, Emerald v/h Ruytershof, Kalaska de Semilly, Don VHP and Tower Mouche.

Several winning horses descend from this maternal line, in particular from her dam Katarina and her full sister Joy de Baufour, including Octavia de Beaufour (1.50m classes) and Ratatine de Beaufour (1.40m classes).
