At ease with jumps

One of the goals of training over exercises involving a line of jumps is to ensure that horses and riders become familiar with slightly higher obstacles. The correct sequence of related heights and distances between jumps allows the poles to be raised without rushing. he distances need to be correctly adapted to the ground as well as to the natural length of the horse’s stride. Furthermore, when setting up our exercises, we should bear in mind that horses generally tend to accelerate when heading towards the stables whereas they slow down when they are being ridden away from them. Riders must work on their position while riding a horse towards a jump and allowing them freedom of movement.
